GRIP International activities in Sustainable consumption and
production

GRIP organised the Oslo workshops on Sustainable Consumption and
Production from the 22nd. to the 24th. of January 2003. The workshops
("SCPP10 kickoff") were to follow up the Plan of
Implementation from Johannesburg by developing ideas for projects that
could be incorporated into the "10-year framework of
programmes" named in the Johannesburg document.
In 2005 and 2006, GRIP collaborated with the Swedish Ministry for
Sustainable Development , as chair of the Nordic Ad-hoc Group on SCP, in
implementing two Roundtables focusing on North/South business relations
and how these can contribute to sustainable development. More
information:
The original workshop in 2003 assembled 12 professionals from ministries and
international organisations to clarify what the goals for such
programmes should be, so that the second workshop, comprising 30
professionals divided into 3 groups could develop concrete ideas to satisfy the needs defined in the first workshop.
